Steps to Dual Credit

Meet

Dual credit students should meet with their high school counselor to determine:​

• • which courses are offered to students at their high school ​
  • which courses the student needs to meet high school graduation requirements ​
  • if the dual credit courses the student wishes to take will be recorded on the student’s high school transcript​
  • which forms the school counselor or other designated school personnel will submit to the college on the student’s behalf​
  • if the student will be responsible for paying tuition for the dual credit courses​

Homeschool students should make an appointment to meet with the Office of Dual Credit Programs through ConexED .

Apply

Once dual credit students have met with their school counselor, students should complete an application to Lamar State College Port Arthur using the Apply Texas website (Link to Apply Texas).

Create

After submitting an application to the college, dual credit students should wait 2-3 business days to receive an email with instructions for setting up their My正规靠谱赌博软件 accounts. (Link to login page)

Submit

Dual credit students are required to submit forms. Many of these forms are submitted by the school counselor, school registrar, or school nurse. Check with your school counselor to see if the following documents will be submitted on your behalf.​

• • High school transcript​
  • Immunization record ​
  • Test scores

Pay

First, dual credit students should determine if they need to pay for classes. Some school districts cover the costs associated with dual credit. In addition, Lamar State College Port Arthur waives tuition for some dual credit students. ​

  • The dual credit tuition rate is $45 per credit hour. ​
  • Payment for dual credit courses is due one week before classes start each semester.
